Five ideas, one conversation at a time.

  1. 01 Pen names

    A pen name and an ink portrait. Never a profile photo.

    Pick a pen name and an ink portrait (tap for new ink until one feels like you). It looks the same on every phone, and your profile never shows a face. Your real name and number stay with you.

  2. 02 Tonight's mood

    Say how you feel tonight.

    Just talk, deep talk, playful or story. Talk now finds someone in the same mood and language, and shows you the real wait, even when it is quiet.

  3. 03 Seasons

    Every chat runs in seasons.

    A season lasts three days. Near the end, you each choose in private whether to keep talking. If you both do, a new season begins. If not, the chat ends quietly, and what was said is deleted.

  4. 04 Heat levels

    Heat rises only when both say yes.

    Every chat starts Friendly. It can turn Flirty, and later Bold, only when both of you agree and some trust has grown. Either of you can turn it down at any moment.

  5. 05 Voice notes

    Voice notes, veiled.

    Your voice is veiled on our server, in a pitch that is yours alone, and the original recording is deleted within seconds. As you grow closer, you can both choose to lift the veil a little.

02Safety

Safety is built in, not added on.

  • For people 18 and over

    Your date of birth is checked once and never stored. An account under 18 is erased at once, with everything in it.

  • A person reads reports

    Reports about sexual messages or a possible minor are looked at within 2 hours, everything else within 24 hours.

  • Report or block, anywhere

    In every chat, room and Hello. Blocking ends the chat for both of you, and never says why.

  • A shield against scams

    A warning when someone pushes you to other apps, video calls or money, and clear help if anyone threatens you.

  • Bans that stick

    A ban stays with the email it was made with, so signing up again does not undo it.

  • Private check-ins

    After a chat, Kuro asks whether you felt respected. Your answer is never shown to the other person.

About you, we keep almost nothing.

What we keep

  • Your pen name
  • Your ink portrait (a number)
  • A single yes for your age
  • A scrambled version of your email
  • Your gender and who you'd like to talk to
  • Your approximate location, if you choose a distance

Plus what you write or send in a chat, until its season ends. No one ever sees your gender or where you are.

What we never keep

  • A profile photo
  • A face scan
  • Your date of birth
  • Your email address
  • Your phone number
  • Your ID
  • Your exact location
  • Chats are deleted when a season ends.
  • The original voice is deleted within seconds.
  • No ads. No third-party trackers.
  • Stored in Mumbai, India.
